What we do
The company started in 2008 with boilers and radiators, so heating systems are our home ground. Today most of this work goes alongside a heat pump installation, but we also do it on its own:
- underfloor heating in new builds and renovations,
- replacing radiators and whole radiator systems,
- rebuilding boiler rooms after a coal or gas boiler is removed,
- hot water cylinders, buffer tanks, low-loss headers and pump groups,
- flushing, hydraulic balancing and weather-compensated controls.
Who it is for
- People building a house who want underfloor heating designed for a heat pump, not by guesswork.
- Homeowners about to replace their heat source. An old system designed for a coal boiler ran at 70-80°C. A heat pump needs a lower temperature, so some radiators often have to be replaced.
- Anyone with unevenly heated rooms, such as a cold bathroom and an overheated living room. The system is usually to blame, not the boiler.
How the job runs
- Site visit. We check the pipework, radiators, boiler room and where manifolds can go.
- Calculations. We calculate room heat losses and size the radiators or underfloor pipe spacing for a specific flow temperature.
- Installation. For underfloor heating: insulation, edge strip, PE-RT or PEX pipe at 10-15 cm spacing, a manifold with flow meters. We leave the system under pressure for the screed.
- Pressure test and flushing. Every system is pressure tested, and old systems are flushed before connection.
- Balancing. We set the flows on the manifolds and radiator valves and configure room thermostats and controls.
What is included
For underfloor heating: insulation with membrane, edge strip, pipe, a manifold in a cabinet, flow meters, a pressure test and a test report. Room thermostats and actuators are priced separately, because with a heat pump they are not always needed in every room. The building contractor lays the screed, and we agree the timing and the curing heat-up programme with them.
What affects the price
- floor area and the number of loops or radiators,
- radiator type and size,
- whether risers and pipes inside walls need replacing,
- how much of the boiler room has to be rebuilt and old equipment removed,
- controls: room thermostats, actuators, zoning.
What we do not do
We do not install solid fuel boilers. We rarely fit gas boilers in new systems now, mostly as a second heat source in larger buildings, because Czyste Powietrze no longer subsidises them and new houses usually go for a heat pump. If a gas boiler makes more sense than a heat pump in your case, we will say so during the site visit.
Subsidies
Upgrading the heating and hot water system can be an eligible cost under Czyste Powietrze when it is done together with replacing the heat source. The details depend on the scope of work and the programme's current conditions, which we check on the programme website when preparing the application.
