About us

Bielak & Sowa is an installation company from Poznań, founded in 2008 by heating installer Tomasz Bielak and refrigeration technician Leszek Sowa.

Today 42 people work here, in 9 installation crews and a service department with 5 vans. We install air-to-water heat pumps, heat recovery ventilation, air conditioning, underfloor and radiator heating, and since 2025 HVAC systems for offices, shops and warehouses as well.

We work in Poznań, Poznań county and towns within about 80 km, from Gniezno and Września to Nowy Tomyśl and Kościan. Every installation starts with a heat demand calculation, because that decides the size of the unit and the size of your electricity bill. We help with subsidy applications under the Czyste Powietrze and Moje Ciepło programmes. And we stay around after the job is done: our service team makes about 3,400 visits a year across Wielkopolska.

What we do

Six areas, one team. The people who do the calculations also install and later service the system, so they know what was done and why.

How we work

How we work with you

  1. 1. Free site visit

We come out and look at the building, the boiler room, the existing heating system and where the outdoor unit could go. We ask about your current fuel or electricity use.

  2. 2. Calculations and quote

We calculate the building's heat demand and size the unit to match. The quote lists equipment, materials and labour separately and usually arrives within 5-7 working days.

  3. 3. Subsidy help

We check which programme you qualify for and help you put together the paperwork for Czyste Powietrze or Moje Ciepło.

  4. 4. Installation and commissioning

A heat pump installation usually takes 2-4 days. At the end we set the heating curve, show you how to use the system and hand over the documentation.

  5. 5. Service

After the first month of heating we check the settings. After that we come back every year for the service visit the manufacturer requires to keep the warranty valid.

Client reviews

What our clients say

I was worried a heat pump wouldn't cope in a house built in 1986. Paweł worked out the heat loss room by room and we only replaced four radiators, not all of them. We had 21 degrees all winter, and I don't order coal any more.

Krzysztof M.Family home, Luboń

The ground source heat pump and ventilation have run without problems for two seasons now, and in summer the underfloor heating cools the house a little. One star off for the drilling: the drilling firm turned up a week late and the garden looked like a building site for longer. At least the office warned us straight away.

Magdalena W.New house, Dopiewo

The work went zone by zone, and we moved racking to a plan agreed a week ahead, so shipping carried on as normal. We got through our first winter without the gas radiant heaters. It's still cooler by the loading doors, but everyone on shift can feel the difference at floor level.

Robert S.Warehouse manager, Września
