What we do

We size, install and service air-to-water heat pumps for space heating and hot water. Since 2012 we have installed more than 1,900 of them across Wielkopolska. Most are monoblock units using R290 (propane) refrigerant, with split systems where they suit the house better. All our crews have completed manufacturer training on R290 installation, and the company holds a UDT-CERT F-gas certificate.

Who it is for

  • New houses. A heat pump with underfloor heating is now the most common choice for houses being built around Poznań. Talk to us before the screed goes down, so the underfloor heating can be designed for a low flow temperature.
  • Houses replacing a coal or gas boiler. Here we start by assessing the building. In an insulated house with large radiators or underfloor heating, a heat pump will do well. In an uninsulated house with small radiators, something in the building has to change first.
  • Houses where a heat pump does not make sense. We tell you plainly. Sometimes it is better to insulate the roof and walls first and size the unit a year later.

How the job runs

  1. Site visit. We look at the building, boiler room, radiators and where the outdoor unit could go. We ask about fuel use over the last few seasons.
  2. Calculations. We calculate the heat demand room by room, or use the design documents for new houses. From that we size the unit, the hot water cylinder and, if needed, a buffer tank.
  3. Quote. Itemised, usually within 5-7 working days.
  4. Installation. Base or wall brackets, outdoor unit, boiler room pipework, electrical supply, condensate drain. We remove and take away the old boiler.
  5. Commissioning. We fill and bleed the system, set the heating curve and hot water schedule, and show you the controller and app.
  6. One-month check. After the first month of heating we review the unit's operating data and adjust the settings.

What is included

Outdoor unit and indoor unit or hydraulic module, hot water cylinder, hydraulic fittings (valves, filter, expansion vessel, pump group), materials, electrical connection from the distribution board, base or brackets, commissioning, warranty registration and the documents for your subsidy application.

What affects the price

  • unit output, which follows from the heat demand,
  • whether a buffer tank is needed and how many heating circuits there are,
  • the state of the existing system: flushing, radiator replacement, boiler room rebuild,
  • the distance between the outdoor unit and the boiler room,
  • the scope of electrical work, such as new protection devices or a supply upgrade.

Subsidies

For an existing house you can get funding from the Czyste Powietrze programme, for a new house from Moje Ciepło. You can also deduct the cost under the thermal retrofit tax relief (ulga termomodernizacyjna). We help you check which programme applies and prepare the documents. The unit has to be on the ZUM list of eligible equipment, and Czyste Powietrze requires an energy audit. We always check current amounts and conditions on the programme websites, as they change several times a year.

How we work

From site visit to service. One company at every step.

  1. 1. Sizing

A site visit and a heat-loss calculation. We size the unit for the building, not the floor area.

  2. 2. Subsidy

We check which programme you qualify for and help you put the application together.

  3. 3. Installation

Our own crews, usually 2-4 days. Commissioning, heating curve set-up and a walkthrough.

  4. 4. Service

A check after the first month and the yearly inspections the manufacturer warranty requires.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Write to us
Will a heat pump work in an older house with radiators?

Often yes, but not always. We check whether the radiators can heat each room with a flow temperature of about 50°C in a frost. If the house is poorly insulated and the radiators are small, we will recommend insulating or replacing some radiators first. A heat pump running at 60°C all the time is expensive to run.

How much does it cost to heat a house with a heat pump?

It depends on the building's heat demand and the electricity price. For example, a 140 m² renovated house that needs about 14,000 kWh of heat a year will use about 4,000 kWh of electricity with a seasonal efficiency (SCOP) of about 3.5. At an assumed price of about PLN 1.10/kWh, that is roughly PLN 4,400 a year for heating. This is an example, not a promise.

Are heat pumps noisy?

The outdoor unit is audible, especially in frosty weather and during defrost. That is why we place it away from bedroom windows and the property boundary, on a base or wall brackets with anti-vibration mounts. During the site visit we show you where we suggest putting it.

How long does installation take?

In a new house usually 2-3 days. When replacing a coal boiler and rebuilding the boiler room, 3-4 days. You may be without hot water for one of those days.

Do I need a bigger electricity connection?

Sometimes. A heat pump with a backup heater usually needs a three-phase supply and enough contracted capacity. We check this during the site visit and tell you whether you need to apply to the grid operator.
