What we do

We install and service wall-mounted split air conditioners and multi-split systems, where one outdoor unit serves several rooms. We have done air conditioning since the company started, because one of the founders, Leszek Sowa, is a refrigeration technician. The company holds a UDT-CERT F-gas certificate and our fitters hold personal F-gas certificates, so we charge the system and check it for leaks ourselves, as the regulations require.

Who it is for

  • Houses, especially loft rooms that reach 30°C or more in summer.
  • Flats, where you need the residents' association's consent and a place for the outdoor unit, such as a balcony.
  • Small offices, surgeries and shops. Larger buildings are handled by our commercial department, described on the Commercial HVAC page.

How the job runs

  1. Site visit. We look at the rooms, sun exposure, where the indoor and outdoor units can go and the route for pipes and condensate.
  2. Quote. We give the unit output, pipework length and how the pipes will run: in trunking, chased into the wall, or straight through the wall behind the unit.
  3. Installation. Drilling with dust extraction, fixing the units, copper refrigerant pipework, electrical supply, condensate drain to the sewer or outside.
  4. Vacuum and leak test. Before opening the valves we pull a vacuum and confirm the system holds.
  5. Commissioning. We check operating parameters, show you the remote and app, and register the warranty.

What is included

Standard installation covers the indoor and outdoor units, up to 3 m of refrigerant pipework, power and control cable, a bracket or floor stand for the outdoor unit, gravity condensate drain, wall penetration, commissioning and cleaning up.

What affects the price

  • unit output and class, including noise level and heating features,
  • pipework beyond the standard length and how it is routed,
  • a condensate pump where gravity drainage is not possible,
  • work at height that needs a lift or scaffolding,
  • making good after pipes are chased into walls.

What we pay attention to

  • Condensate. In summer an air conditioner produces several litres of water a day. We do not drain it onto the pavement or the neighbour's balcony below.
  • Noise. We keep the outdoor unit away from bedroom windows, yours and the neighbours', and fit it on anti-vibration pads.
  • Airflow. We do not hang the indoor unit where cold air blows straight onto a bed or desk.
  • Units you buy yourself. We can install them, but the seller then provides the warranty on the unit itself and we are responsible for the installation. Ask us about sizing before you buy.

Air conditioning and heating

An air conditioner works well as an extra heat source in spring and autumn, when it is not worth running the whole heating system. If you are thinking of heating the whole house, an air-to-water heat pump is the better choice. We are happy to compare both options during the site visit.

How we work

From site visit to service. One company at every step.

  1. 1. Sizing

A site visit and a heat-loss calculation. We size the unit for the building, not the floor area.

  2. 2. Subsidy

We check which programme you qualify for and help you put the application together.

  3. 3. Installation

Our own crews, usually 2-4 days. Commissioning, heating curve set-up and a walkthrough.

  4. 4. Service

A check after the first month and the yearly inspections the manufacturer warranty requires.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Question not here? Write or call us, we reply within one working day.

Write to us
What size of air conditioner do I need?

A typical 12-15 m² bedroom usually needs 2.5 kW, and a 25-35 m² living room 3.5 kW. Large south or west-facing windows, a loft under a metal roof or an open-plan kitchen change those figures, so we size the unit during the site visit.

Can I heat with air conditioning?

Yes. An air conditioner is an air-to-air heat pump and heats cheaply in spring and autumn. It will not replace central heating for the whole house, though, because it cannot heat the bathroom or rooms without an indoor unit.

Do I need permission in a block of flats?

On the facade of a block of flats you usually need permission from the building manager or the residents' association. Ask before you order. We can help you prepare a description and photo of the proposed location.

How long does installation take?

A single unit usually takes 3-5 hours. A multi-split system with three indoor units takes 1-2 days.

How often should it be serviced?

Once a year, ideally in spring before the hot weather. Manufacturers usually require a yearly service to keep the warranty valid.
