About the role

We run nine installation crews and this season we're adding another installer to the heat pump team. A crew is usually two or three people: a crew leader and installers. The heat pump crews are coordinated by Jakub Kaczmarek, who started here as an installer himself.

Most jobs are replacing a coal or gas boiler with an air-to-water heat pump in an existing house. On top of that come new builds with underfloor heating and a handful of ground source systems each year. We work in Poznań, the surrounding county and towns within about 80 km, so overnight stays away from home are rare.

A typical week

  • Monday morning: briefing at the warehouse on ul. Przykładowa, picking up the week's materials, loading the van.
  • Monday to Wednesday: one heat source replacement. Removing the old boiler, building the plant room, setting the outdoor unit, connections, flushing the system.
  • Thursday: commissioning with the crew leader, tests, client handover. Often a few small fixes from earlier jobs too.
  • Friday: shorter day, preparing materials for next week, sorting out the van.

Our design engineer draws up the system and the unit is sized before anyone arrives on site. You're not guessing on the job, you're building what has been calculated. If something on site doesn't match the drawings, you call the designer and he picks up.

The day starts at 7:00. Overtime mostly happens between September and December, and it is paid, not "taken back some other time".

Who we're looking for

Someone who knows heating systems from real work and isn't put off by new kit. If you've done plant rooms, radiators and underfloor heating, we'll teach you heat pumps. You can get the F-gas certificate and SEP qualification while working for us, and we cover the cost.

Recruitment steps

  1. Send your CV, or a few lines about yourself, to rekrutacja@example.com with the code BS-INST-0926 in the subject. Photos of past jobs are welcome.
  2. We call back within 5 working days for a short phone chat, about 15 minutes.
  3. Meeting at our workshop in Poznań with Jakub Kaczmarek and Leszek Sowa. We'll show you the training plant room and ask a few practical questions.
  4. Decision within a week of the meeting. You can start straight away or after your notice period.
